My Latest Twist on a Bucket List

My novel, The Next Thing on My List, came about because I once challenged myself to try something new every day. My latest "bucket list" idea:  I've vowed to visit every one of Los Angeles' 137 neighborhoods this year.

I'm trying to break out of the rut I so easily get into—and I'm exploring LA because that's close to home.  I'm a big believer that you don't have to leave your life to really live your life.
